Ideal for a restoration project, Richard Kilby has this F-86L fuselage and wings for sale or trade. The aircraft is currently located in California, USA.
F-86L s/n 53-994, with construction number 201-438 was built at North American Aviation, Inglewood, CA as an F-86D-60 and was delivered to the USAF on June 18, 1955. Initial unit assignments were to 5th FIS, McGuire AFB NJ and 539th FIS, also at McGuire. On October 3, 1956 the aircraft was sent to McClellan AFB CA for F-86L conversion, and after this process was complete on March 1, 1957, it was then assigned to 322nd FIS at Larson AFB WA. The aircraft's final service assignment was with 190th FIS Idaho ANG at Boise, from July 9, 1959 until 1963/4. It was then surplussed.

Richard would also consider an NAA T-2 Buckeye fuselage/project or reasonable offer.

This represents a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine ex-USAF F-86L, and would be a rewarding and challenging restoration project for museum or individual.
